Love for our furbabies goes beyond cozy beds, it’s about supporting every animal’s journey to a happy, healthy life. We are honored to share a story that is close to our hearts, and we hope it will touch yours as well.
Who Are DOA
DOA (Stichting Dierenopvang Amsterdam) is a wonderful organization based in Amsterdam and known as one of the largest and oldest animal shelters in the Netherlands. For over 120 years, DOA has been a sanctuary for thousands of animals (dogs, cats, and even rabbits!) who have been abandoned, neglected, sick, or homeless.
DOA’s dedicated team offers medical care, healing, and most importantly, love, ensuring both animals and their new families feel supported every step of the way.
A mission centered on hope, healing, and new beginnings for animals is one that means so much to us.
What We Donated
With full hearts, we donated Pelsbarn products totaling €17,500 (roughly $20,500 USD) to DOA to support the meaningful work they do every day. With each product donated, we hope to help bring comfort and joy, and make each one of their furbabies lives a little brighter.
Why This Matters
Every animal who arrives at DOA carries their own story, one that often begins with uncertainty. Whether found alone, surrendered, or in need of medical attention, everyone is met not just with shelter, but with healing, rehabilitation, and a caring path toward a loving forever home.
Behind every act of care is a network of people who make this possible. As an independent organization, DOA depends on meaningful partnerships and donations, which is why this contribution carries purpose beyond just the products themselves.
