Every time our community chooses to support Pelsbarn, it helps us extend that support to dogs who need it too. This time, we were able to send some extra comfort to the pups at Wet Noses Rescue in Mexico.
With the dogs spending much of their time outdoors and temperatures running high, Cooling Mats felt like a natural way to help them stay more comfortable throughout their day.
Who They Are
Wet Noses Rescue is a cross-border animal rescue based in Punta de Mita, Mexico, providing a safe place for animals who have been rescued from difficult circumstances. What began as a small backyard effort grew into a nonprofit with dedicated facilities, a foster network, and programs that support animals both in Mexico and beyond.
Their work goes well beyond sheltering animals. The team provides medical care and rehabilitation, facilitates adoptions, runs community spay/neuter clinics, and offers educational opportunities to help improve animal welfare in the area.
At the shelter itself, dogs have access to outdoor kennel areas and shared spaces where they can exercise and socialise, making their surroundings an important part of their everyday care.
What We Donated
For this donation, we sent Cooling Mats to help the pups at Wet Noses Rescue find some relief during the hotter months.
This donation was all about giving the dogs another way to find some relief from the heat. We hope the Cooling Mats provide a cool place to stretch out and relax, giving the dogs a chance to slow down and enjoy a little downtime.
Why It Matters
After a morning of play, a busy day at the shelter, or simply a few hours in the sunshine, every pup deserves a chance to cool down and take it easy. For the dogs at Wet Noses Rescue, the Cooling Mats give them another place to do just that.
We hope the mats become favourite spots for the pups to stretch out, settle in, and enjoy some well deserved downtime.
