The belief that every animal deserves love, comfort, and a safe place to call home inspires everything we do. From designing cozy luxurious beds and products, to supporting organizations who dedicate their lives to helping animals in need.
This September, we are so happy to share that we donated to an amazing organization, ADA Hundar.
Who Are ADA Hundar?
ADA Hundar is a Swedish non-profit organization who gives dogs a new chance at life. Their mission centers on protecting, rescuing, and rehoming homeless dogs.
ADA Hundar collaborates with dog shelters in Spain, where thousands of dogs live in overcrowded shelters or survive on the streets without access to proper care. These dogs often face harsh conditions and have little hope of adoption locally.
That’s where ADA Hundar steps in. They coordinate the safe transport of these beautiful dogs to Sweden, provide veterinary care, and place them into loving foster homes where they can begin to heal, physically and emotionally, before being matched with their forever families.
Beyond rescue, ADA Hundar is committed to education and advocacy. They raise awareness about responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, and the need to adopt rather than buy. Their work is saving lives and changing perspectives, one dog at a time.
What We Donated
When we learned more about ADA Hundar’s incredible work, we knew we wanted to contribute in a meaningful way. We recently donated:

Harness Walking Kits to support safe and positive walks for newly rescued dogs, and sometimes understimulated dogs in Spain

Original Calming Beds designed to ease anxiety and create a sense of security when they arrive at their new foster homes in Sweden

Orthopedic Beds for senior dogs, dogs with tired joints, and those recovering from injury or surgery
-
Fluffy Blankets providing soft warmth, comfort and reassurance
These items are now being used in foster homes and shelters as part of ADA Hundar’s rehabilitation process. For many of these dogs, it’s the first time they’ve had something of their own. It may seem like a small step, but one that brings big comfort and makes them feel loved.
Why It Matters
Comfort means the world to a rescued dog. It’s a soft place to rest, a warm place to feel safe and how to believe in kindness again.
At Pelsbarn, we’re grateful to play even a small part in helping rescue dogs find peace, healing, and a second chance. Whether it’s a cozy blanket to curl up in, or a harness that allows for exercise and playtime, these little comforts help restore trust and happiness to dogs who have already been through so much.
