At Pelsbarn, we believe that our fur babies are more than just pets, they’re our family. Their love is unconditional, so they deserve all the cuddles, love, and all of the best things that we have to offer. But we also know that not every dog is lucky enough to have a loving home. That’s why giving back to shelter dogs is such an important part of our mission.
This August, we donated to the Florence Area Humane Society, and this was all made possible because of you, our incredible Pelsbarn community.
Who is the Florence Area Humane Society?
The Florence Area Humane Society (FAHS) is an organization in Oregon doing incredible work to rescue and rehome animals in need. It is more than just a shelter. There, every wagging tail is met with kindness, care, and the promise of a second chance and a brighter, loving future. It’s a safe haven for animals who have faced hardship and abandonment. From providing medical care, to creating adoption opportunities and educating the public about responsible ownership, their mission aligns with everything we stand for at Pelsbarn.
With each purchase made, you helped provide comfortable beds, and a little extra love to animals waiting to be adopted.
What we donated - Supporting Their Mission
By supporting FAHS, Pelsbarn hopes to bring comfort and hope to the many dogs waiting for their forever families, helping to create a loving, kinder world for all animals. This August, we donated:
• Luxurious Sofa Beds cloud-like sofa beds to keep the pups feeling snug and secure.
• Calming Blankets these seriously soft and cozy blankets, offer warmth, comfort and a sense of security.
• Orthopedic Cooling Beds to help keep fur babies cool during those warmer months, and to also help anxious dogs all year round! They also offer extra support to seniors, or dogs that need raised edges to ease neck and joint stress.
• Luxurious Backseat Protectors beautiful Full Backseat Protectors to reduce travel anxiety in between vet visits, or transporting to and from foster homes.
Each product isn’t just about comfort—they’re designed to help reduce stress, support, well-being, and to make everyday moments (like naptime or car rides) more peaceful.
Why it matters?
These donations make an impact, not just because they provide the comfort that these fur babies deserve, but because they represent hope, compassion, and community support for animals who can’t speak for themselves.
Beyond the physical products, these donations are a reminder to the staff, volunteers, and the animals themselves that they’re not alone. That there’s a community out there that cares.
