When most people hear “vegan,” they think about food. But this principle can be applied beyond the plate as well.
To put it simply, ´vegan´ means that there are no animal derived materials in any Pelsbarn product:

Only cruelty-free, human-friendly materials
This means every bed, every blanket, and every accessory we create is designed to be cozy and supportive for your furry friend without exploiting other animals in the process.

When animals become part of mass production, their wellbeing is too often overlooked. The product they deliver (or become) is valued more than their life or comfort.
Many traditional pet products are made with materials like leather or wool. But for us, comfort shouldn’t come at the expense of another animal’s wellbeing.

Wool: While sheep aren’t killed for wool, they often endure painful shearing, rough handling, and industrial-scale farming practices that cause stress, injury, and suffering.

Down: Feathers are sometimes plucked from ducks and geese while they’re still alive. A frightening, painful process.

Leather: A “luxury” material that almost always comes from slaughtered animals, making it directly tied to the meat industry.
