Shelter life comes with plenty of change. New surroundings, unfamiliar routines, medical appointments, and lots of different needs to meet along the way. Sometimes, something as simple as a cozy place to rest can make those days a little easier.
In July, we were so happy to support the dogs at Agoura Animal Care Center and the important work of Healthcare for Homeless Animals.
Who They Are
Agoura Animal Care Center provides care for animals in need, while Healthcare for Homeless Animals works closely with the shelter to help fund essential veterinary treatment.
Since 1996, Healthcare for Homeless Animals has supported the animals at Agoura Animal Care Center by helping cover medical care through local veterinary partners. Their work gives sick, injured, senior, and vulnerable animals access to treatment, recovery support, and a better chance at finding loving homes.
What makes their mission so meaningful is the understanding that medical care can change what’s possible for a shelter animal. With the right support, dogs who arrive needing extra help can begin to heal and move closer to a happier future.
What We Donated
We donated Cooling Mats, Cooling Beds, and Cooling Car Beds to help the dogs at Agoura Animal Care Center stay as comfortable as possible during their stay.
Whether they’re resting in their kennel, settling into a quiet space, or travelling to and from appointments, having a comfortable place to relax can make a huge difference.
We hope these little comforts make the pups’ time at the shelter a little easier, while supporting the team as they continue caring for dogs with all kinds of needs.
Why It Matters
A dog’s wellbeing is about more than medical treatment alone. It’s also about the small moments that help them feel comfortable and cared for while they recover, adjust, and wait for their forever home.
For dogs going through a period of recovery or adjustment, a comfy place to rest can offer something simple but important: a quiet moment to relax and feel safe.
Cooling products are especially helpful during warmer weather, giving dogs a place to settle and helping them stay more comfortable throughout the day. Cooling Car Beds support the journeys that happen beyond the shelter, including trips that may be part of a dog’s ongoing care.
We’re grateful to play a small role in supporting the dogs at Agoura Animal Care Center and the people working tirelessly to give them the care they deserve. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can help make a shelter dog’s day a little better.
