Behind every rescue organisation are countless everyday moments that most people never see, the early mornings, the quiet kennel checks, the vet visits, the nervous dogs learning to trust, and all the little acts of care in between.
This August, we were so happy to support Canine Adoption and Rescue League (C.A.R.L.), and the dogs they work so hard to care for.
Who They Are
Canine Adoption and Rescue League (C.A.R.L.) is a nonprofit, all-breed, no-kill dog rescue and adoption organisation serving primarily Ventura County. Since 1996, C.A.R.L. has rescued and homed thousands of unwanted, sick, abandoned, and homeless dogs, while making a lifetime commitment to the dogs in its program.
C.A.R.L.'s work includes rescue, adoption, education, and outreach, with dogs cared for either by volunteer foster families or at its boarding and kennel facility while they wait for their forever homes.
The work at C.A.R.L. is made possible by a caring network of volunteers and supporters who continue showing up for dogs in need.
What We Donated

Original Calming Beds create a reassuring space to give dogs a cosy, plush place to relax, and to reduce anxiety and stress

Cooling Mats and Cooling Beds are made with breathable ice silk fibres to help regulate body temperature, giving dogs a cooler, more comfortable place to rest

Cooling Car Beds to make travel more comfortable for dogs who need to leave the shelter, giving them a cool, cosy place to settle between appointments and during journeys
Why It Matters
Donations like this are one small way of supporting the everyday work that shelters do for the dogs in their care. When a shelter is looking after many dogs with different needs, having extra resources to help keep them comfortable can make a real difference.
For the pups, it means more opportunities to rest, relax, stay cool, and just feel comfortable in their surroundings. We hope this donation becomes part of many relaxing moments at C.A.R.L., helping make their time there a little cosier.
