I actually do not want people to buy anything from my brand.. Let me explain why.
Here's why: people need to know why I started this brand before owning a Pelsbarn..
I'm Dan, and founded a luxurious dog brand with my fiance Faith in 2021. I did not developed this dog bed for years just to sell something.
There’s already enough products and we consume too much in my opinion...
I care more about dogs than people.
It may be sad, but it’s true.
Dogs are the most loyal animals on this planet.
As a lonely kid growing up, my dog Lissy, gave me the feeling I was getting seen.
Just by looking at me. I felt unconditional love and could not imagine the day I would lose her..
And yes, it happened last year….
My heart broke
As a person who grew up with a huge passion for dogs, I traveled the world in 2021 where I saw many dogs living in the street and shelters overfull.
It broke my heart to see how people could mistreat these beautiful souls.
At that moment, my fiancé and I decided to do something about it.
We wanted to create beautiful dog beds which my fiancé would approve (as she’s an interior designer), and that would help those dogs in need.
Helping thousands and even millions of dogs in the shelter became my new mission in life.
Pelsbarn was my vehicle to make this happen.

The idea is that people who already have a dog could choose our dog bed over others, so their own dog helps a shelter dog I need. A dog your own dog has never seen but needs help in a shelter.
We started in our living room where Fay with her design background would make new beds that our own Maya would approve. Maya is our rescue that became our symbol for the brand. She is on every video, product image and on our packaging and even gift paper.
After 8 months of developing we went live with our own made store (www.pels.org) and we got sold out after our first launch.
